The Curators of Hip Hop set to turn up the volume at the 2014 Pan-African Film Festival

Artwork/poster for THe Curators Volume 1: A Story of Independence
In just a couple hours, Jimmie Thomas and Jermaine Fletcher (founding members of The Curators of Hip Hop) will show their documentary film, The Curator’s Volume 1: A Story of Independence in front of a public audience at the 22nd annual Pan African Film Festival. I believe the event will mark the doc’s festival and public debut. I had the pleasure of getting to preview the work at a private screening event in Manhattan earlier this month, and was really impressed with the project overall, as well as the featured artists: Logic, Prie, Dee-1, Ahmad (yep… the ‘Back In The Day’ dude) and Staten Island’s own Matt Reeves. This is a really well-done flick and it was really well-received by those attending the NYC screening, so I’m hoping the PAFF crowd out in LA will show plenty of Valentine’s Day love to the film and those who worked hard to put it together over the last few years. This evening’s showing starts at 6:05 PM (PST) with another showing taking place this Sunday night at 10:15 PM. Check out the trailer below, followed by tracks from the films featured artists.
