Robert Glasper and his band (Robert Glasper Experiment) have been having an amazing year since the critically acclaimed release of “Black Radio” in February. The album is arguably going down in history as both a hip-hop and jazz classic. To even further extend Black Radio‘s life on music players and playlists, RGE just released the “Black Radio Recovered” EP featuring remixes of the original amazing songs. Listen to ?uestlove’s rework of “Twice” featuring Solange and The Roots, “Dillalude #2” which features some snippets from instrumentals by the late, great, J-Dilla, and “Letter to Hermione” which has rhymes by Black Milk and is remixed by Rob Glasper himself along with Jewels. I was thinking about adding an embed for Georgia Anne Muldrow’s remix of The Consequences of Jealousy feat Meshell Ndegeocello (could be my favorite), but you can listen to that on SoundCloud along with a couple other amazing joints I was tempted to post. OR, you could hear the full-album, in order, by buying it or at least streaming it from Spotify. AND, if you still haven’t heard the original “Black Radio” album, DO SO IMMEDIATELY!!
