Dirty Projectors will playing tonight at 10 in front of fellow Brooklynites at The Music Hall of Williamsburg on the eve of their new album’s release. They’ll also be playing for an international audience being that the show is being streamed live via The Bowery Presents’ YouTube page The album, Swing Lo Magellan is apparently heavy on the “sick beats” and has influences coming from hip-hop & r&b, as well as folk (Lil Wayne and Bob Dylan were specifically mentioned). Check out the clips below for a more detailed viewing and hearing of what the band is bringing with their latest project. The first is an interview of the band talking about the new album. The second is a trailer for an upcoming short film (or super-long music video?) directed by Projectors’ lead, David Longstreth. The third and last clip is a leak from the new album titled See What She Saying.
